Parking Lot Light Poles
Any business or municipality can obtain great benefit from easy rack parking lot lights and poles.
Businesses and municipal entities with outdated parking lot lights and poles face a number of problems that can result from poor distribution of light, inferior build and manufacture, and short lamp life. Answer:
If the loads are properly phased, then the load in the neutral wire is 0. In fact, if the loads were properly balanced the neutral wire could be lifted with no ill effect whatever. It would be similar to wiring two 120 volt lamps in series and connecting them to a 240 V source.
If, however, one 30 Ampere load was inductive, and the other 30 Ampere load was capacitative, there would be some current across the neutral leg as the current in each leg would be out of phase, or "reactive". This imbalance would cause current flow in the neutral leg.
