Fishing Cooking Guide – Combining Them Together
This fishing cooking guide was created to walk all types of players through the importance of the fishing-cooking tandem, two of the four secondary professions in the World of Warcraft. Here, we will discuss the significance of each secondary skill alongside providing some critical information on how to make the most out of these individual professions.
But first, why is preparing your own or your pet's food important when you can get your supplies from WoW merchants?
In the virtual world of WoW, food is very important for most players but more particularly for classes that rely on foods, potions, and spells. Food, like in the real world, is used to replenish the character's energy. Fishing and cooking are also two good ways by which you can earn decent amounts of WoW gold without necessarily straining yourself with combats. You can trade or sell your cooked or fish goods to other players who require foods for faster healing. For some players, however, preparing interesting dishes enable them to entertain other players in the game.
{On cooking}… During the game, it is but normal for all players to find pieces of meat and raw materials which may be used as ingredients for a healing meal. Although players can buy foods from designated merchants, the effect of 'cooked' foods on WoW characters are a lot more effective than those bought from the traders.
Largely regarded as a secondary profession that has lesser importance, many players choose to master other secondary professions not knowing that cooking is something that benefits all players in many ways. From healing to non-healing classes, cooking proves to be a good addition to any player's skills. Certain foods, for example, have effects that can't be acquired elsewhere such as Well Fed buffs that can last for at least 15 minutes.
There are 3 requirements to making cooked food – heat, a recipe, and the necessary ingredients that make up the recipe. Recipes can be obtained from Cooking Trainers who sell these in capital and minor cities. Heat is any kind of heat source that can be used for cooking such Brazier, Campfire and Fireplace. Ingredients are any material that can be bought from goods vendors or collected through quests like meats and fish. The latter ties the two secondary professions together. Other ingredients such as spring water and spices can be found in the same manner – by collecting them along the way or by getting them from traders and vendors.
{On fishing} … Fishing offers a good break after you grind your hours on questing and raiding. Like many professions, this secondary profession is learnt through a Fishing Trainer and calls for a use of a fishing pole and at times a fishing lure, both of which can be purchased from goods vendors in major and minor cities in WoW. To easily locate Trainers and Vendors, it is best to go to areas with fishable waters.
{Advancing} - Start outs don’t have all the equipment and tools they need to create advanced meals for themselves or for their pets. These can be found as players progress through the game.
The good thing is, since fishing and cooking are not the centerpieces of the game, players won't find it necessary to devote considerable hours on mastering these secondary professions. A fishing cooking guide or two are available online and should not cost much and could come in handy if you want to advance your mastery of these professions.
