i have a 12v halogen bulb, how do I power it?
I have bought a 12v, 20w halogen bulb capsule. i also have a 12v battery but it does not seem to power the bulb, what do i need to do?

i am currently using 12v MN21/23 duracell battery, which doesn't work

Hello Suraj,
It will run from a 12VDC battery, BUT, because the halogen bulb is 20Watts, you require 1.67 Amps of current to light the bulb (20W/12V). I am not sure your battery can provide that. What kind of battery are you using? This is why typically a car battery is used... they can provide enough current... or at least a really large portable battery.
